i have a married nephew?!

i guess the day had to come...but already?! my nephew, who i remember being born, is now 21, in the army, and married! he came home on a weekend leave, got married, had a quick weekend honeymoon, and had to head back. we were thrilled to be a part of his big day!
we didn't get to see him before the wedding...so, this was our first look at him in his uniform. where did the little blonde baby with red cheeks go...it seems like yesterday that i babysat him! he is so grown up!

after the ceremony, brittany had a plaque presented to austin for his service in the army. he was surprised and it was very sweet.

they both looked gorgeous. it is so surreal that this is one of my "kids" getting married! you just feel so proud and happy for them.

miranda and her boyfriend, brandon. i am tempted to write "will they be next", but i will contain myself. miranda and maisy are the only girls in our batch of grandkids...we call them the bookends because it is all boys in between them...miranda is the oldest and maisy is the youngest. miranda and austin are only 1 month apart!
