it has been so fun finding free or low cost things to do over the last few weeks! this saturday was no exception! we started out at "community day" at our local walgreens. the boys were greeted with free drinks and snacks, got a picture with the easter bunny (freaky weird animal), toured a fire engine, got a tatoo, and had lunch!
i felt like i was in a country music video as we ate chicken from a styrofoam container from the back of our van! the country music was playing, the sun was shining, and it was a picture in my mind of a perfect day with my family in our small town! after that, we stopped for a mocha freeze at c&c coffee (our favorite!). then headed to the school play at adins school. they put on charlie and the chocolate factory, which is one of the kids favorite movies. can you believe that they sat still for the whole play...they loved it! here they are with willie wonka...
mrs keller directed the play and made a cameo as an oompa loompa...adin was so excited! he waved to her every time she was on stage!
it was so beautiful that the boys wanted to go out to the playground after the play...

after some play time, we went to ritas for our "first day of spring" free ices. they were good! then it was home to run around outside...it is so great to be out of the house again!
