happy mothers day

there are a lot of things that i just don't think that you can know until you have kids. you don't realize what pregnancy will do to your body! you don't know the rush of feelings that you will have when they hold that baby up. you don't realize that you can love another person so completely, in an instant, and know that they were meant to be with you. you don't know that you have a freak out moment when you have to take that little being home or realize that life as it was is changed forever. i heard a saying once that your children are your heart walking around outside of your body. i never realized how much i would love my children. it is a distinct love, a new love, a love that grows and is equal with each child. there may be long nights, frustrating moments, inconveniences...but they don't matter...those kids are mine, and i wouldn't change that for anything. so, this mothers day...i am just humbled and thankful that God has allowed me the pleasure and favor of raising my 3 beautiful children. adin, tobias, and emmaus...your mother loves you SO much...i have and i will...you are so wanted, so cared for, and so loved. i look forward to each and every mothers day and seeing you grow.

i am also thankful to my mom for all that she has been to me. times were hard sometimes, but she has always been there...and she remains that way. she often drops everything to help me and is always present for everything that me or my kids have going on. she has taught me a lot of things about being a mom.

i'm thankful for my mom-in-law...she was and is a wonderful mom to my husband...and now to me. he has great memories and a great foundation from his time at home. we continue to enjoy our time together and all that she is to our kids.

besides my moms, i have a sister that has been such a big part of my life...we share things as family that only we "get". i had grandmas that each taught me different things about life. i have mentoring friends and i have friends that are "in the same boat". i am blessed. i have undeserved favor. i love my "village" and appreciate them as i raise my kids. God has blessed me in ways that i wouldn't have even known to ask for. thanks to Him. happy mothers day...
