end of october visiting of friends and family...

ok, so aaron and i have always been anti-halloween. that is until we had a 4 and 6 year old begging to dress up and get candy. we are torn...we hate the holiday, but the kids don't understand. so, we decided that we would take them to a few of my family and a couple of friends. one of the friends happened to be our next door neighbors...so, we got dressed and headed over there...

yep, that's who...and you can see that he took advantage of the opportunity to "dress up" too!

the little lady was in on the action too. i actually had a cowboys outfit for her too...but i thought she needed to be something girly!

so, we went to the neighbors...then i was going to let them go to the other neighbors too. well, somehow they ended up going to one whole side of the neighborhood. they had so much fun and it really was a nice environment. our neighborhood is mostly all small children and they were all dressed very cutely. unlike other years, there were not a lot of people driving through the development...so, the kids were all out in the street having a great time running up the driveways. i still don't know how to feel...but the kids really had a good time. toby walked down the middle of the street telling everyone how much he loved halloween...we told him that he just loves candy! so, after our walk around the neighborhood...we headed to aunt nita and uncle randys...

they got their glow sticks and some goodys from uncle marlin and aunt katie...they had stopped by before we left because they were headed out to trick or treat too! aunt nita was explaining something...they got lollypops that are all white ghosts and you have to eat them to figure out the flavor...

next stop was another friends house. they were out trick or treating, but the dads were home. so, we traded candy and got to inhale some of their great party food! i am glad that heidi makes was too much food because we were hungry and the next thing was diving into those candy bags! after our quick feast...we headed to grandmas house!

no matter what you call it...it was a fun night out...and the candy isn't bad either!
