good bye "pop pop"

we just got the call that aarons "pop pop" passed away this morning. he has been in failing health and aarons grandma has been caring for him for months. they have been a great example of love and caring for each other. she has done everything in her power to keep him comfortable at home. as many of you know, my grandfathers both died before i was born, so i was thankful to have dave when i married into aarons family. he always told great stories and cared very much for each of us. this was at christmas...
i loved this picture because it was aarons grandparents, aarons dad, and adin...would have been complete if aaron would have been in there too!

we are so sad that pop pop will not be with us anymore when we get together and also for his grandma...she will miss him so much. but, we are very thankful that he was a believer and had told all of us that he was ready to go HOME as soon as God was ready to have him. there is joy in knowing that he is no longer in any pain or discomfort and is awaiting us when we arrive too. i just have this picture of all of the grandparents taking care of our baby that didn't make it here with us. i am sure that it is an even better picture than i can imagine...
