adin's birthday was on tuesday this year. since we were having his big party on friday, tuesday didn't have a lot of fanfare. he got up with aaron and they went for doughnuts...then we had a pretty normal day. he couldn't wait for aaron to get home to open his gift from us! little gift: spongebob underwear...while likeable...the face says it all:
big gift...crayola crayon maker...better reaction! he wanted to make them right then and there, but we were starving, so we talked him into dinner first!
he got to pick anything he wanted for dinner. our kids always pick montezumas for their birthdays...probably out of habit because we have gone there so much...also because they get to wear the "hat". through the whole dinner, they are looking around waiting for the waiters to come over to our table. with a memorable scream/whistle...they arrive and sing feliz cumpleanos and drop off a fried ice cream!
i think he was actually scared for a minute! then he remembered he was wearing "the hat"!
a little help from toby on that ice cream!
after dinner, we were off to deliver the pies that adin sold for school. we got home late enough that he wasn't able to make crayons...are we terrible parents for not timing that all better?! he got off school early on wednesday and we make crayons all afternoon if that helps!
