blizzard of 09

as much as aaron and i don't like snow, our boys love it! they were so excited when they went to bed on friday...knowing the snow was coming. as soon as they got up, they were ready to head out...much more than we were! aaron bundled them all up...
and they were off! aaron took the first shift with them and i took pictures!

then rejoined maisy inside with the warm fire! we were the official "undressers" and hot cocoa makers for the day!

this was the 2nd time out for the day. most of our neighborhood seemed to be out playing right before it got dark! aaron shoveled the driveway for the 3rd time. i was actually going to attempt to go out until i discovered that i don't even own boots or a waterproof coat...so, i hung on the porch and then went back to my post inside!

back inside with everyone warmed up again, we tried maisy in her bumbo again. i think she is just about ready to spend some time in it! she was SO happy...i guess she likes snow too?! she has such a beautiful smile...

so, while i still can't say that i like snow...i guess as long as it is like this weekend...nowhere to go, nice fluffy snow, cleared roads, and my kids having a great time...i can stomach it once and awhile!
