christmas is finally here! today was christmas eve and the boys were busting at the seams...they just want christmas to be here already! they spent a lot of the day playing the wii with uncle jonathan, who is here from arizona. as evening rolled around, we all got ready to go in to christmas eve services at church. maisy in her christmas dress...and first time in little dress shoes!

jonathan snapped a few pictures for us before we headed in to church...
i am certainly a happy mom!

the boys just love their "little lady"!

christmas eve service has been a challenge in the past...because we have the boys with us for the whole service (and they aren't the most still or quiet children). it is amazing how much they grow up in a year...they were wonderful this year! they colored and whispered and ate lollypops! because things went so well, they wanted to get hot dogs from sheetz on the way home...little did we know that most of the town would be doing that too since all of the restaurants were closed! ah, it was ok...i had a peppermint latte while i waited and we got home and had our "feast"?! after eating, we headed to the living room for the christmas story.

maisy even listened in this year!

getting pretty good in her bumbo!

we let the boys open one gift on christmas eve...which is their pajamas to wear tonight! (they seem to have forgotten that from last year!)

adin is meticulous...taking off the ribbon and opening along the seams...

toby just went in head first!

we hit a homerun with the spongebob christmas pajamas this year!

aaron got pjs from "the christmas story". his family loves that movie and we watch it MANY times each christmas. they have even been to the christmas story house in ohio!

last year, i bought myself new pjs to wear for christmas. this year, aaron went out and got them for me...so, i had a gift to open too! maisy got a "my first christmas" sleeper.

so, we are a cuddly warm family on christmas eve! the boys are in bed, maisy is sleeping with aaron on the couch as we await the arrival of nanny and poppy. they are scheduled to arrive around 2:30am...it is such a long day for them after his dad preaches the christmas eve services out there...but they boys are so happy when they wake up and they are here! i think that i am more excited for christmas as a parent than i was as a kid. i can't wait till the kids get up in the morning either!
I love the pictures...especially the one with Aaron reading the Christmas story to the boys. And, the Sponge Bob pjs are pretty cute, too!
