christmas morning

this is the second year that aarons parents have preached a full night of christmas eve services, then jumped in the car to drive through the night to get here. they arrived at around 3am this year! we were asleep on the couches waiting and helped them in, got the gifts arranged, and fell into bed for an early morning!
maisy even woke up to say hi!

the kids were good to us...they didn't get up too early! they headed right in to get nanny and poppy up!

we did pictures on the steps, as always! aaron looks the most tired!

then they were FINALLY given the green light to head down stairs!

and they were ready to roll!

we didn't have to do much since they can read their names!

the christmas story is a favorite of the smith family...so, i couldn't resist matching aaron and his dad in these pjs!

we had a good breakfast...a friend from sunday school made quiche and delivered them the week of christmas...so, it was extra good because i didn't even have to make it!

the boys had gotten foam soap in their stockings. we lost them, but realized where they got to when we heard the water running...this is what we walked in on. adin looking a little guilty! at least they smelled grape fresh!

after a great christmas morning, we were off to grandmas for christmas lunch with my family...
