adin and toby got to bed at 9:00 on sunday night...yes, that is early for us. when he was in bed, i went to packing his lunch. i realized that i have no idea how much to send or what exactly a fruit break includes...so, this is what i came up with. i packed too much...
we got him up at 7:30...which is REALLY early for us! he got right up and got in his uniform. he was waiting for the cinnamon buns to come out...
the breakfast of champions!
my little boy...all dressed and ready to go! he had a much easier time with this than i did!
it has to be one of the best/ worst feelings to see your kid going off for a full day without you. for almost 6 years, he has spent most minutes of every day with me. it is a pretty hard pill to swallow that someone else will have him for 8 hours of a day and he will be with kids that you can't control...but, it also gives him the chance to grow and learn and have FUN!

i did ok at this point. me and maisy went in and laid on the couch until toby got up. i was able to do some one on one things with toby...which doesn't happen much! he was a great helper...i could tell that he felt like the "big kid" while adin was gone! aaron stayed with adin for the first hour and we were texting back and forth. adin was right where he should be with letters and numbers and the teacher said it was like he had been there for the last month. i knew that he would do a great job...but i was ready to go pick him up at like 10:00! finally 3:00 rolled around and i could get him! my mom came to keep the 2 little ones so that i could go in the room and see him! when he saw me, he told me to go home...i guess that is a good sign?! he was at play time and was loving the "floam".
lined up at the end of the day to come home...yay!
so, i officially have a kindergartner. maybe it will get easier? we are only looking as far as this year, but toby already told me that he wants to go to adins school next year too. how do these kids grow up this fast...there is so much more that i want to do with them! i am very glad that adin goes to every other day kindergarten...it is a good transition for all of us...especially me!

Annette I am so happy for Adin. I will tell you I was tearing up just watching your Adin going off to school. I know it is a hard thing for you to send him, and I know that you wish you could be the one to educate him, but Annette his is going to learn so much about life (good and bad) and he is still young enough for you to shape him. If you send him off into the world in college he is old enough to not want to be shaped anymore. You have a wonderful little boy, and he will let his light shine! Yeah for toby too, love and attention from Mom...he is going to feel so special it will all be worth it!
