christmas lights

so with a little energy worked up, we headed to dinner. it was a little hilarous because we arrived right behind a very large senior citizen bus...so we were the youngest by far and the only ones with kids...makes for an interesting dinner. but toby waved to everyone and we settled in. for any of you that have never been to harpoon hannas, it is our favorite restaurant in ocean city. they always start you out with warm rolls and breads...i recommend the coconut muffin, myself! so, it was lobster night and you could get 1/2 off any size lobster. aaron enjoyed a 2 pounder. i am more of a crab leg girl myself...so, i got crackin. there is a funny story about the claw that got away and ended up at the table next to us, but better told in person.

after dinner, we headed to the park for the "winterfest of lights". they put this on every year and it is a huge production of thousands of lights. the trams that usually run on the boardwalk take you on a riding tour through the park...blankets included! we got there on opening night this year and were treated to a free ride!
when you get off the ride, there is a tent where you can get coffee and hot chocolate and go to santas workshop and some great spots for pictures. the boys stood in this same spot 2 years ago with a white poinsetta tree. one last picture before we headed back to the hotel for a late night swim.
the hilton had a great pool and i think that the boys literally would have stayed there the whole weekend if we didn't drag them out to shop! the water was way cold for me and the only hot tub was in our room...so, i tried to just put my feet in...but with a 3 and 4 year old, that isn't going to happen!
we finally talked the little prunes into going up to the hot tub with us. only by promising that we would be back again tomorrow!
