chili cook off

on saturday, our sunday school class "feet to faith" held our 3rd annual chili cook off! we had 8 chilis entered and lots of tasters ready for the judging. they got to taste each entry and rate them and then pick their top 3 choices and the 3 with the most votes were the winners! here are some shots of the action as we got underway with some good eating... then the votes were tallied and the winners were...

ME in 3rd place...finally! my chili was an improvisation that turned out to be good...including fire roasted tomatoes and progresso hearty tomato soup!

and 1st place was lita kuhns! here she is wearing the coveted chili cook off hat that goes to the champion each year!
it was a great time and a lot of fun...so, be getting those recipies ready for next years competition!
