we packed up and headed out to aaron's parents for valentines weekend. friday night we got there for dinner and relaxed around the house. saturday morning, we slept in and got around slowly! then it was our day long date!
aaron's parents had all kinds of plans for the boys...including bowling, cookies, coloring, and more. we headed out around lunch time and our first stop was a quick lunch at a panda express! then we wandered the mall looking for sales and new stores. we were planning to go see a movie...but the one we were hoping for was the ONLY one sold out the whole day at the theatre. so, while we were at a coffee shop, aaron realized that we were in the town that an old friend lived in...so, he sent him a message on facebook and alex called right back. aaron hasn't seen alex since high school, but has been back in touch lately, so we headed over to his house for a quick visit!
it was finally time for our dinner reservations, so we went to speers street grill and had an awesome dinner...including dessert and coffee...and then headed home to the boys! while we were gone aarons brother and his family had arrived, so we hung out for the evening with them when the kids finally went to bed! this is one of the first valentines days that aaron and i have ever done much of anything and it was a lot of fun!
