after a long visit to the grocery store with 2 unruly children, i was on the way home, paying NO attention to the world outside of my van. the kids sat in something in the grocery cart, so they were both in their underwear as the backs of their pants were sticky...i was feeling particulary nauseous...probaby from a day of leftover junk to eat...and they were wanting snacks, the volume up, the air down, etc. so, i rolled on home and as i was pulling into my development, i noticed a car coming in behind me...closely...which made me wonder why it was so close to me. it was only then that i looked up to notice the police car, which had just turned on its lights. mind you, had i seen him before, i would NOT have turned into my neighborhood, but would have stayed on the main road where no one ever goes. but, no, i was right in the middle of my street, with all of the friendly people just "happening" to come out for walks right at that minute. i didn't argue, told him i was sick, and wanted to move along...he then took over 20 minutes to come back up...with lights flashing...as i started getting phone calls from people seeing me. what an embarassment...but more, my groceries were getting warm and i was still nauseous. so, i am now taking donations for the $108 ticket that i will be paying...and not to mention...i made pizza bagels for the kids when we finally got home...and dropped them all over the floor. i am going to bed.
