on saturday, aaron and i had our annual night away. since the boys have been born, my sister and her husband keep them overnight for us while we go to aarons company christmas party. (some years were easier than others!) this year, we headed out saturday afternoon to leesburg virginia for the party that evening.
as the night wore on, the dj had some interesting "props" that made it on to the dance floor. mind you, i was not on the dance floor...even though i kept seeming to get moved that direction?!
me and angie...hanging out...from 6:00 till 3:00...yes, i mean in the morning. we were freezing by this point...i think that they were lowering the heat to try to end the party!
in an effort to keep things interesting, they always seem to throw in some new aspect to the party. this year, there was a karaoke corner where you sang along and they put backgrounds behind you. here is aaron with the other regional managers...blue hair...
and yes, he was one of only a few that actually went over there twice...
i always look forward to a night away...but as soon as we pull away from the boys, i miss them and am ready to get back too! after that 3:00 am bedtime, we were up at 6:30 to drive back 2 hours for church...our usual christmas party routine! oh, and there was a HUGE family nap that afternoon!
