well, the shopping is done, the gifts are wrapped, we have gone to all of the parties, and now christmas is almost here. we are looking forward to a sunday school luncheon tomorrow. i am planning to do baking on tuesday and wednesday and going in to church for christmas eve services. the boys don't know that nanny and poppy are coming in (after preaching 3 services) late christmas eve night...so, they will be so surprised in the morning. we plan to keep tradition alive by having the boys sit at the top of the steps for pictures. then they will come down to a little manger scene with "our gift" Jesus in it and have a christmas story. the coffee cake and coffee will be on for the adults (trying to wake up), but it will be "birthday cake for Jesus" for the boys. then the gifts! we will be going to my moms for christmas lunch with my family...which is always great, but i am especially looking forward to it this year as we are having an all out dutch meal...salad with hot bacon dressing, spiced peaches, pig belly, and too many desserts to mention! we are blessed. most importantly because Jesus came to this lowly earth to live among us...that he might relate and know us in every way. thank God for all that he has done...for giving us his only son to live among us and ultimately to be the sacrifice to save us. praise be to God and all thanks. have a very merry christmas.
