tonight we got to go hear sarah palin speak at one of our local universities. the doors were to open at 2:15 and the event was to start at 4:15. we got there around 2:45...and yes, that seriously is the line.

the line wasn't that huge of a deal at first...until the temperatures dropped and the wind started to blow. lucky for us, sarah was running late because we were in line until about 5:00 (yes, almost 2 1/2 hours in the freezing cold) until we got close to the doors.

as we finally got our hand on the door, they cut off the capacity and told everyone to go to the overflow building. but, since we were right there, we slid right on in. the doors closed behind us, then it was through the metal detectors, and in we went.

this was the view of the stage. we were in the back of the standing crowd, so we got up on chairs and could see fine.

me and aaron...frozen, but glad to be in!

the spot on stage that we stared at waiting for her to come out! they made the whole room dark and played cool music and her and her husband came in together.

waving to the crowd! she really is in the middle...

lots of support signs around her. i liked the "PA (heart) lin "

waving good bye as she haded off to state college tonight.

some discount shirts that we bought on our way out. they are XL, so we wore them over our coats.

pretty fun for my first political rally!
YEAH! I should have been in the picture with my pit-bull t-shirt too!
