BACK to the ER

well, after a fun day at hershey on saturday...we can home for a cook out. all was going well until we saw toby getting a rash on his face. this isn't too unusual, so we gave him benedryl and got him in the tub...but it kept getting worse. we gave him another dose and he got to sleep...but in the morning, the rash was there and swelled and down his neck and arm. (the one that we could see...ie without the cast) so, we headed to church because i was planning to keep him with me anyway...but it just seemed to keep swelling. so, before church even got started, me and toby were headed back to the ER. thankfully there was only ONE person in the waiting room and we went right back. we were right that it was an allergic reaction, but who know what it was to. so, the first thought would be to give him prednasone...but with a broken bone, that is a bad idea because it inhibits bone growth. so, we are to try zyrtec twice a day and calamine...we are on day 2 and it is improving. the bumps are all over his body now, but they are not swelled or as red. we are to do this routine for 1-2 weeks. luckily, adin already takes zyrtec every day for seasonal allergies...so, i can just line them up!
