recycling crayons
i read about this project in one of my parenting magazines today...so, we decided to give it a shot. you take broken crayons and melt them down into shapes for kids to reuse. so, we started by taking the paper off of all of the broken crayons. toby did about 1, but adin stuck with me longer!
but in the end...it ended up being me finishing this part...
we put the broken pieces into a mini muffin pan and then into the oven at 350 for about 5 minutes...then they looked like this:

I knew someone who melted the cryons on the stove than used candy molds for the "new" ones.
