in the yard again...

finally a saturday with no plans other to get out in the yard and garden! aaron started off by using the rototiller on the garden. we are lucky that our friends arnie and star let us get theirs every year...and also that they tell us when to plant what! we are still pretty new at this, so they help us know what we are doing! the boys has to stand way back while dad worked.

that got boring, so they picked the "yellow flowers" until he was done!

the newly tilled garden gave them a perfect digging place...they kept at it for a LONG time!

here is a hideous picture of me...but proof that i did some work too. yes, i am aware that pregnant people do not look too good in shorts...pretend you don't notice. i was weeding the strawberries...i can't wait till we have strawberries!!!
here they are...all weeded and ready to GROW!

we also planted 9 dozen onions. this is our first try at onions, but star said it was time, so we did it!
feel free to share your gardening tips. in a few weeks, we will get the other veggies in. adin is our real gardener and he is teaching toby. he loves to go out every day and see what we have for lunch!
