on monday, we made the trek back to hershey for toby to see the surgeon again. we dropped adin off at his friend andrew's house until my mom could get there to pick him up. toby borrowed a pair of scissors there because he wanted to help cut off the old cast!
after our small mountain of paperwork, toby headed in to x-ray. this time it was much easier! i got to see the x-rays as they were doing them since i wasn't allowed in the room...the pins look crazy sticking in there!
his progress is great, so he was able to lose to soft cast and move on to a hard one!
he considered his color options, but chose blue...no surprise there! they removed the old cast, but left the white semi hard cast underneath...then just wrapped the blue on overtop.
this cast will only be on for 2 weeks and then he will be back to normal. he will just wear a sling at that point and willl be restricted for 2 months...nothing with wheels, no jumping, climbing, etc...that should be very easy?!
leaving the doctor and showing off his blue cast and blue lollypop! after a quick dinner at the olive garden, we headed back to get adin. he spent the afternoon with grandma...swimming in a new little pool and making doughnuts!
