easter was a fun, full day! aaron had to go into church for the 9:00 service because he is the head usher. so, me and the boys got up and around. it was really cold, but they braved the elements for a quick picture for me! they wore shirts from nanny and poppy for easter.
we got a text from aaron that he wasn't going to get home to pick us up, so we did a quick load of the van and headed in for the 11:00 service. we had the boys with us, which was an "adventure", but it turned out ok. then we headed up to moms for lunch. i had requested thanksgiving dinner for easter this year and was so glad when everyone else agreed...so, we were in for turkey, mashed potatoes, and stuffing! we got a family picture when we got there.
they boys were off and running...so, me, aaron, and #3 got a shot too.
we had a GREAT lunch! but, the boys were ready to hunt eggs, so they kept us moving! first we gathered in the living room with lots of eggs and lots of candy. we stuffed 200 eggs and a few prize ones even included $1!
ok, SOME of us got a quick nap...
when the eggs were all full, all of the parents headed out to hide them. the kids have to stay inside...but we saw a lot of heads in the windows! finally anut nita went in to get them in line to come out...waiting is so hard..
and then they were off...
they all made out very well! uncle marlin had brought a rice krispie basket with coconut grass and candy inside. i guess adin thought it was his own decoration because we caught him eating the basket...
the boys had found an old mixer. i remember making pudding with this mixer. it entertained them all afternoon!
i was a fun day...the boys were good and tired!
and then they were off...
