dead freezer...

as i was running out the door to my doctors appointment today, the boys were wanting popsicles from the freezer. as toby grabbed one, he told me it was melted. as i checked the other things...it appeared everything else was too. AHHHH!
so, i went on to the appointment and when we got home, aaron investigated. apparently the circuit blew or something like that...so, it had been off for 1-2 days. we started the task of weeding out still frozen from 1/2 frozen from totally thawed. we lost a lot of beef. but, we have been able to cook a lot too...i have done 5 lbs of ground beef, 5 lbs of stew meat, and have 2 5lb roasts in overnight. we had about 6 lbs of blueberries left...so, we had a big blueberry crisp tonight and i am deciding what else to do with the rest of them?! we just had a little applesauce left, so we are going to be eating that this week! the thing that was the most WORK in there was the strawberry jelly. it was thawed, but we are attempting to refreeze it and see what it comes out like. there just always seems to be something?!
