first visitors

we had maisy at 7:49am...that is an early arrival for us! the boys were not even out of bed yet at that time. so, we spent the morning with her and then the first ones scheduled to arrive were big brothers adin and toby! my mom had them all morning and they were ready to get there by noon! i heard them coming up the hall and was so happy to see those two big boys come through the door! there was so much to take in that it took them a minute to check out the room and all of the stuff...then they got over to me! it was so exciting for them to see this little person that they could only imagine till then!
adin had done this big brother visit once before, but he was only 18 months when toby was born! this time, he was so grown up and so excited to see his little sister!
toby just wanted to look at everything about her! he likes his "position" of being a little brother AND a big brother now.
grandma didn't get a lot of time to just hold maisy with the boys...but don't worry, she came back later for that! here they are showing off their "big brother" shirts. i am so proud of them! i was hard for me to have to be away from them while we were there because i just miss them so much when i'm not with them. but, they had a great time with aunt nita and uncle randy and with my mom...i think they might have missed us a little at night, but other than that...they were busy!
poppy smith also drove in for the day. unfortunately nanny still has shingles, so she wasn't able to come yet...but that didn't stop him from coming and taking LOTS of pictures of the little lady to take back to her!
my sister also came in, but i didn't get a picture of her...she was coming to see mai and then take the boys home for the evening. i can't wait to wear the little green outfit that she brought in for maisy...i can agree that there are a lot more choices for girls to wear than there were for boys! and so much for the thought that my little girl will just wear all of the left over blue outfits...i can see that will not be happening! so, after the family was in...and then some more friends and family throughout the evening...we settled in for that first night. i don't tend to sleep at the hospital, but we did give it a try! here aaron said maisy was getting ready to fight off the boys!
snuggled up with me for the night. i just looked at her most of the time! aaron and i took turns nodding off a little too!
we didn't want to give her a binkie much at first...but we stuck it in to try it out...she liked it!
she was a great sleeper...only ate a few times that night. she didn't really even cry...just looked at me and moved her mouth like an O. she seems like a laid back little one!
