it was a rainy day in chambersburg. we had the exterminator that was to be here between 10-12 to spray for our bee problem. as i am writing this...i am realizing that i didn't post anything about that. we apparently have a nice colony of yellow jackets living in the ceiling of one of our rooms upstairs. this was adins bedroom, but currently him and toby are sharing a room and this is the play room. so, we have had it locked up for the last 2 days because there is a chance that they will come through...the ceiling is paper thin where they are living. so, anywho, the exterminator came today to do the first step...which is spraying to kill them. that will take about 2-3 days...then he is returning on monday to remove them. so, that will require some patching up afterwards...but it will go in along with the addition that we are putting onto the house that is to happen in the next few week.ok, all of that to say...i took toby out in the rain this morning to get groceries while aaron waited here with adin for the bug man to come. i returned home at 12 and he hadn't been here yet...he was in traffic in mont alto...i didn't know there could be traffic in mont alto. so, we all watched as he climbed the ladder in the rain to spray and then came inside to treat in there too. the boys really wanted to help...and he was very nice to them and talked about "bee movie" while he worked.
after aaron left for work, me and the boys took a nice nap (more for me than them)...and then i got batch number 2 of spaghetti sauce underway. i am remembering how to do this a little better now...so, this batch was REALLY good...the last batch was just ok. so, i got 7 quarts this time and enjoyed it for dinner tonight! aaron had been in harrisburg to work and was able to go see his grandmother after surgery and have dinner with his parents and aunts family. so, now we are all home and i am ready for bed. these early colds can kick your butt...so i am barely hanging on to get up to bed.
