our affordable wednesday plan

ok, so heidi told me about her wednesday plan and i tried it for the first time this week. it is a cheap way to wear out the kids as the weather gets colder and you can't always get outside. our local roller skating rink opens on wednesday morning for an hour for kids "play time"...$2 per kid. they bring out scooters, bikes, balls and the kids just run around and play.

i remember these little rolly things from gym class way back in the day. the boys liked to hold onto a noodle and have me pull them "faster". adin did kiss the wall once doing this.
they got more and more creative with the given toys. this was a ninja fight between andrew and toby.

the favorite time of the day as voted by everyone was when they turned off all the lights and did colored lights and the disco balls and played the chipmunk song.

after one last race by andrew and adin, we went to c r bucks for lunch. on wednesdays when you get an adult meal, you get a kids meal for $1. so, for less than $15, you can wear the kids out, then feed them and take them home for a nap! i have it marked on my calendar all winter!
